Welcome Griffin Cooper Maynard !!

I thought I had indigestion until I bent over and pop went the water... I ended up on Wedsnesday night going to the hospital- 6 weeks EARLY!

Earlier in the day I had an appointment the baby was breach, well... in a few hours he made himself head down and ready to come... well at least that is what we thought... He made his GRAND entrance on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 6:49 PM. Well, it was a LONG two days of on and off labor, then when he did decide to decend down he came so fast there was NO time for the DRUGS!!! A la Natural- WOWSERS!!!!!!!! No more to comment on that!

Day one of trying to get him to arrive....
Finally he arrives... Hard to see him all hooked up, actually REALLY HARD!!! He is in the best place now, Wellington Regional has Level 3 NeoNatal, NICU. we are so thankful!
Please keep Griffin in your prayers, and they rest of us too! We love you littlest Maynard, get strong!

Wow -- this looks all too familiar. Scary to look at, but as you said the best place he could be. The nicu nurses are fabulous and you'll be amazed at how quickly one by one the tubes and wires are disconnected. They'll move him to an open bed to make sure he can maintain his own body temp. and then do a carseat test while hooked up to heart monitors to make sure they can sit up in that position for a period of time. Then it is home sweet home. Use this time to get rest and recuperate, you'll be glad you these days or weeks -- believe me. I love the name -- you are so blessed -- still thinking about you every day. No drugs -- wow, so modern day/hip of you!!

He's just beautiful!!!

The NICU looks all too familiar...McKinley spent the first 4 days of her life there. The nurses were phenomenal though...I felt a peace about the hands God had put her in while I could not be there! I pray you will feel the same peace!!

I'm praying for you all!

He is ADORABLE! I am so happy that you were able to post something for all of us bloggers. Griffin is in the best place. I remember when the quads were in the NICU. Just trust them & most importantly trust GOD. He knows what he is doing! You all will be in our prayers! See you soon!
