Stay at Home Mom- ...Well Work at Home Mom to Carter and Griffin-my miracle inspirations for each day. We are a family of four now. With so many friends and family far and away this is the best way to tell it all - all at once! I am the proud wife to Brett and look forward to our many years ahead...Proverbs 3: 5 – 6 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Baby Griffin Update - Sunday
A big change today when we came to visit. Griffin moved to the other side of NICU. He is out of his cocoon (space age incubator he has lived in for the last 9 days). We have had some real valley's this week, and today we were on the mountain top. Praise Jesus!
While holding him sleeping today he was dreaming and grinning up a storm, I just had to snap the picture! Sweet Dreams littlest Maynard - keep growing strong!
A proud Dad - Brett says, "He's got his doubles team set up"

Griffin Update

Well another surprise this week... yesterday was a really hard day for all of us. Griffin-physically, us-emotionally. Griffin's breathing was very labored so they opted to put in a chest tube (very painful-on morphine) and put him on a ventilator. Well as they tried the ventilator procedure his throat was too small and it would be more trauma. So he went back on the C-pap machine (helps him breath instead of breathing for him-it opens his airways in his lungs wider than they can go to assist) and up-ed his O2.
Today when I went to visit I looked in his little cocoon, and he was off all breathing machines and O2, and breathing on his own. Miracles do happen! Now this has truly been a HUGE massive roller coaster (like the one at Sea World!) Huge mountains are gained, and deep valley's. I know his progress is only because of God himself! God is so BIG and has Griffin's life plan in the palm of His hand. Please continue to pray for him. Enjoy his sweet face as I did- I held him in my arms for an hour today, I even gave him his very first bottle-he has been on a feeding tube and an IV.
It was surreal~

Baby Griffin Update

When I called today to check on Griffin we got a better progress report. They asked if I could deliver some breast milk soon as they were supplementing his IV with breast milk now through a feeding tube! Well ... God poured rain on South FL today so Brett came home early and we rushed out to the hospital to deliver! When we arrived the most exciting thing was the nurse had me sit in the rocker and she gave me my baby boy for the first time.... Enjoy his tiny sweet face.Saturday, March 28, 2009
Welcome Griffin Cooper Maynard !!
I thought I had indigestion until I bent over and pop went the water... I ended up on Wedsnesday night going to the hospital- 6 weeks EARLY!
Earlier in the day I had an appointment the baby was breach, well... in a few hours he made himself head down and ready to come... well at least that is what we thought... He made his GRAND entrance on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 6:49 PM. Well, it was a LONG two days of on and off labor, then when he did decide to decend down he came so fast there was NO time for the DRUGS!!! A la Natural- WOWSERS!!!!!!!! No more to comment on that!
Day one of trying to get him to arrive....
Finally he arrives... Hard to see him all hooked up, actually REALLY HARD!!! He is in the best place now, Wellington Regional has Level 3 NeoNatal, NICU. we are so thankful!

MOPS Family Day
This past Sunday was MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) http://www.mops.org/ FAMILY DAY at Loggerhead Park in Jupiter, FL. We had a fun day with some of our MOPS friends, the turtles at the Marinelife Center, and Nana & Papa joined in for some afternoon fun at the beach. It couldn't have been a more beautiful day in So. FL after three days of nonstop rain in our area (it hasn't rained since October). It was breezy at the beach actually a little chilly, but gorgeous!
The Marinelife Center www.marinelife.org rehabilitates turtles that have been injured, sick, or found on the beach (hatchlings). A really neat place to visit near us thats an actual living museum and it's FREE. This turtle is "Gideon".

Would You Believe This?? or as Carter would say...What in the World?

Would you believe at 33 weeks pregnant I had to have an emergency wisdom tooth removal. Yes, that is what I said. What in the world? Before I found out I was officially prego, I gracefully received my 4th wisdom tooth the summer of 08. A little late I think at 35. It came in with decay/cavity-just my luck. My former dentist sent me off to a oral surgeon, but no-can-do, he said being that I was prego. It didn't hurt so I let it go until... last Monday it all of a sudden hurt so bad I thought it may hurt worse than LABOR! So our good friend Alison's uncle is a great dentist, (Dr. Steven Rosenberg-Boca) and saw me within an hour of calling and said it would not be a problem to pull it out right there. I had no time to think about it, just get it over with. As I laid in the dental chair with Carter at my feet, he rubbed my leg and asked me if the baby was coming. Too sweet, but then he was off to the office manager's office to help her while Dr. Rosenberg yanked that rotten thing out of my mouth! WHEWW~~ it's gone, a week later, now I feel great, and on the mend in my mouth. What in the World? I just have to look back and LAUGH to myself~ WHAT ELSE!!!

I think I fall into the catagory of NOCTURNAL Animals!
If you notice all these interesting creatures and animals as you scroll down you notice how BIG their eyes are at night. I guess that is how I feel these days. My usually time I am awake is about 2:15 AM until about 4:15 or so. So if you are ever up you may catch me available to chat, text message or IM. I am hoping this is a VERY short season of these last months of pregnancy. Brett thinks God is preparing me for night feedings coming oh-so shortly. I am trying to get as many Zzzz's as I can so I can keep up with Carter these days. He is my outdoors man so we are playing soccer in the yard, or I am pushing the back of his BIG bike down the sidewalk (what a sight if you live in the Boynton area) at 8 months pregnant. I have to laugh outloud!
